Question for you guys... I bumped the swim deck when I was backing the boat into storage today, and did some minor damage to the swim platform. In frustration, I didn't spend much time looking at it, but I think there is about 6 inches of fiberglass splintered where the platform side swiped the entry to the storage.
So, I think the obvious thing is to just have the fiberglass fixed, and gel coated, however we are taking the boat to Lake Powell for a week long vacation in less than 2 weeks, and and I don't think we have time to find someone to fix it before. Any suggestions?
I was thinking I would just sand down the fiberglass splinters and then put a heavy duty packing tape over it which might suffice for the trip, then I can take more time to get it fixed properly. I think this is reasonable as I don't think the damage is significant enough to be structural or limit the platforms ability to hold weight.
I will go get pictures (the boat is in storage and it is a 30 minute drive), if that would help someone make a good recommendation.
