2014 G23 bilge problem

Have searched prior posts and didn't find an answer.... I have a 2014 G 23 500 I've owned since new. The bilge has always worked as intended: when battery power is on, bilge light slow blinks and it primes ever 2.5 minutes as below:



The other day the light was fast blinking saying there was a problem. After troubleshooting, I determined the pump was bad. Replaced it and it manually works however it no longer functions on automatic and I can't figure out how to reset or turn the auto back on. The light doesn't slow blink. I have held the stop button to reset circuits. I have turned the battery on and off. Pump on and off. No luck. Fill bottom with water (using hose) and it doesnt turn on. However it will manually empty the water fine. Any help is appreciated. Kind of an important thing to have working automatically....


However, there is a second issue (which may or may not be affecting the first.) There should be a second aft bilge pump based on the manual and i have seen water come out the opposite side of the boat than the bilge i replaced above. So I feel a have a second one. However, I feel like I have looked everywhere and cannot find it. Any suggestions? Here is what I have from the manual but I see nothing there:



But I see nothing there, nor anywhere else I can see and I feel like I have taken the boat apart. (yes i know there is a random nut and bolt in the back of this picture and i am trying to figure out where they came from.) Maybe because mine is the 550 engine it is located somewhere different? maybe they sourced the part from the Wonder Woman Invisible jet? I can't figure it out.

The 2nd one is under the vdrive/tranny...

When hooked up right and power applied it should cycle every 3 minutes or whatever it is. Unless, the bilge button is on...which it might default to on when you power the linc....

At least that is my memory of all this...

well, very well hidden. I did find it. i put water down there and while it also doesnt work on automatic mode, when i manually turn them on, both work. How do I reset it to get the auto thing working? The light still isn't flashing.

I will say the replacement pump from nautiqueparts.com looks different (slightly) than what is in there now. Is there a chance they are slight different model pumps and aren't communicating correctly together and that is why (said another way i need to replace them with both the same type of pump?) I did unplug one at a time to see if only one pump would work on auto but no luck.

I think some sort of reset of the auto thing with the control panel seems more likely resolution but can't find any documentation.

I believe the new one you installed is a higher amperage pump than the old one. If so, you'll need to get a firmware update for the keypad from your dealer to prevent it from detecting this as an overcurrent situation.

Should I change the aft one out too with a newer pump before I do the firmware upgrade?

Can I do the firmware upgrade myself? Dealers seem to be long lead time on service right now.

I had trouble finding the exact same pump; the nautiqueparts.com site said the pump I ordered had been used in all Nautiques for 15+ years..... clearly not. I could keep trying to find the exact same pump and then not do the firmware upgrade. It is listed as model 25SCPZDM which I am having trouble finding....


Speaking of firmware upgrade.... my screen started having trouble 2-3 days ago. Does anyone know if a firmware upgrade will fix this or is the screen has a hardware problem?
1 seems to be a random black hole but it has stayed in the same spot
2 is a line across the screen and since taking this there is a second line below it now
2 seems to be a line at the bottom of the screen

Got software update from dealer (thanks Race City Marine for the quick fix!!!) but it didn't like one old and one new pump so I bought a new pump to have 2 new pumps. I also found exact model for old pump but it won't be here for a few weeks (international.) so if someone needs one of the old model pumps, i now have one used one and one new one i'll sell.
