Disabling the auto-bilge-pump burst function

Hey experts,

first post here after owning my 2018 Ski Nautique 200 since February now.
Used to be a Malibu guy for almost two decades (had 3 different Responses and loved all of them).
But at some point it was time to upgrade. I couldn’t get myself to like the looks of the new TXI, so went with a 200 instead.
Got a fantastic deal on a low hour closed bow 200 Team with the ZR4 engine and we absolutely love it!

I have a question concerning the auto bilge burst feature...

The boat sits on a covered lift when not in use.
Obviously in my case there’s no need for the bilge pumps to check every couple minutes for water in the bilge.
(I have the dripless shaft seal and there’s never any water inside the bilge anyway.)
To save the battery from draining, I always turn the main power switch off to disable the auto bilge function.
Problem is - when powered off, I keep loosing some ZerOff settings, like the timer beep after each slalom pass.
It’s pretty annoying to set the timer every time I turn the main power on to use the boat.

Is there any way to disable the auto-bilge burst function, so that I can just leave the main power switched on when I’m not using the boat?

You're solving the wrong problem. You need to be looking into why your ZeroOff is losing settings.

On all of my Malibus I would just leave the main power on, even for extended periods of non-usage and never had an issue of draining the starter battery.
But they all had been pretty basic when it comes to electronics. No fancy sensors, no touch screens, ... So when turned off with the key, the boat was not drawing any current.
However - even if I turned off the main power, my ZO wouldn’t lose any of its settings.

With the Nautique I’m a bit hesitant to leave the main power on for extended periods of time because of the more sophisticated electronics that are probably constantly drawing current, like that bilge pump “feature” which in my case is completely useless.

As for the ZO settings - Basically everything works after the main power had been turned off for a while.
Current setting, set speed, pull type, event mode, all the different programmed users, buzzer volume, time zone, mapped courses, ...
Only thing that I noticed, that gets constantly “lost“ is the set slalom wait time (end course timer).

It is just a minor annoyance, but I really would love to find a solution or a work-around for that issue.

I agree with Charles. Figure out why ZO is not holding all of the settings.

Once you figure out why ZO is losing its settings, you can cut power without an issue. FWIW, I really like the battery isolator / disconnector switch for my boats. Every time I take the boat off the water, I "disconnect" the battery. I never have a dead battery that way,,,
