90s motor box hinge - where to buy

Somewhere during the restoration of my 96 Sport, one of the stainless steel hinges behind the engine that holds the motor box in place got removed and misplaced. I’m referring to the metal part of the hinge that screws onto the floor. Nautiqueparts.com has the black plastic part of the hinge that screws into the motor box itself, but I can’t seem to find the metal base that the pin locks into. Does anybody have any ideas?

Nautique Parts has the flexible rubber/plastic motor box hinges:

You may have to fabricate the metal brackets.

Like I said, I know NP has the black plastic hinge you linked. I need the metal bracket part of the hinge that secured the part you linked to the floor.

I took a look at mine. I don’t know what the metal bracket is called and appears it could be a custom part made from the factory. None the less it looks to me that you could easily reproduce it if you have a vice. Each of the parts (One for each side of the motor box) is made from two pieces of what looks like aluminum not stainless steel but I don’t think it really matters. One piece is 1” x 6” x 1/8”. It is flat and lays directly on the carpeted floor board. There is a hole drilled in the center for the pin and a hole at each end for the stainless steel screw to pass through to mount the completed part to the floor. The plastic hinge lays directly on top of it. You should be able to see the holes in your floor board and indentation in the carpet to determine what the original width/length of yours was if different from my 2006. The second piece is 1” x likely 6.5” originally x 1/8”. It also has a hole in the center for the pin and holes at each end for the mounting screws. What is different about this piece is that about an inch from each end is a 90 degree vertical bend and then a 90 degree horizontal bend. The bends makes a 4” long “pocket” that is about a 1/4” high that allows the approximately 1/4” thick x 4” wide plastic hinge to slide between the two pieces when they are mounted to the floor. The pin secures the plastic hinge. I can try to send a picture if you don’t understand my description.

Thanks James. I’ve got the starboard one. I’m just missing the port side. I thought about trying to fabricate one, just figured I’d ask about them first. Thanks again!
