I'm replacing my gas springs for my 96 Sport which has the 2 part clamshell motorbox.
I'm trying to figure out what spring weight is used on the bottom that lift then entire 2 part combined box up? The old ones don't have typical spring markings on them (marked SL36 254/96G...the SL 36 makes sense, but the rest).
NP.com has the following:https://www.nautiqueparts.com/produc...h-17-2-40-lbs/
Does that mean they are saying both the top 2 springs (for top half) and bottom springs are both 40 lbs? I assumed the bottom would be higher rated as the fiberglass base is pretty heavy. I can't call or message NP.com according to their website due to their huge backlog. Can anyone point me in the right direction so I can place an order tonight?
