    Teak glue

This winter I am going to completely disassemble my teak swim platform and restore. But for now, the outside edge needs repair. Something fell on it during storage and broke off about a 15 in x 1/2 in piece of the rear edge. I have all the pieces (3 pieces) and they fit perfectly together.

What's the best glue? I've read on some wood working sites that epoxy is best for teak. I was thinking of using JB Weld's Marine Epoxy as its certified for under water line use. Any tips or suggestions?

I used Gorilla glue on my platform this spring. Seems to be holding up just fine. Make sure and clamp it good as this stuff expands.

I’ve read about the expansion. Is a seam visible? I’d rather not have a visible seam...

It’s pretty hard to get away from seeing a seam when your glueing two pieces together no matter what glue you’re using if you’re getting a good bond.
I use this stuff quite a bit and it works great, don't over apply as it foams up and make sure you wipe the joint clean after it foams. On non-porous hard woods I’ve had good luck with letting it dry and scraping off the excess.

you could contact these guys to see what they suggest https://www.jamestowndistributors.co...portal/main.do

+1 on the scraping any foam off after it hardens.
