I'm in need of changing the FCC filter on my '08 but unlike the easy-peezy fuel service video posted by N3 my FCC canister has an extra assembly attached to it (low pressure fuel pump?) where I can't just loosen the top ring and drop it out. I have the EX 343 CES with the FCC positioned at the stern. Anyone have any tips on getting that thing apart so I can get at the filter?

Cant you just unplug the fuel pump and drop the canister down?
Mine is a 2014 ZR409 but it also has the fuel pump on it. I unplug that connection in your picture and then loosen/remove the 7/16" bolt at the bottom of the canister to drain the fuel out (into a jug of some sort). Then I drop the canister down and angle it just enough to pop off the FCC filter, make sure everything is clean and then pop the new FCC filter in. I then replace the o-rings, I lightly oil the new ones and toothpick works well to remove the old o-rings. Then slip canister back on and tighten. If I am in open air I dont worry much about fumes... but if in garage I will run a fan into the bilge or open the door to be sure no fumes collected (you can also run the blower for a while). Then plug the fuel pump back in and then "key on" ignition and let things fully cycle, then turn off (repeat approx 3 times). After cycling 3 times to prime the system, I check to make sure no obvious fuel leaks/fumes and then start the boat.... and carefully check for gas leaks/fumes while running.
Good time to also change your spin on fuel/water separator.... or your in-line fuel filter (whichever you have)

I've undone the top clamp, but the attached fuel pump doesn't give me any maneuvering room nor enough space to get at the filter as the low pressure fuel pump is still connected. I'm not too concerned about fuel spillage -- that's a simple cleanup. I wasn't sure if anyone had any 'tricks' that weren't obvious to me. I think disconnecting the line into the low pressure pump may be what I need to do.'08 Super Air Nautique 210
