Faria gauges / how to clear error "P XX" and "XX S"? Looks to be clogged pitots

So - after 6 months of annoyance on why my speedo always flashes these values at me - I learned it's the Faria system telling me that my port (P XX) and starboard (XX S) pitots are clogged. Is there any trick to clearing these errors? Is it as simple as pulling off the hoses and blowing out the pitot pickup? Oddly, even though my left and right pitot are supposedly clogged, my speedo seems to work fine.

Boat is currently on the lift so it's not easy to do an inspection of the pitots. If it was on the trailer, I run down there an just take a look.

You might try running hard in reverse for a few short bursts. That's what I do to clear clogged pitots, and it usually works. If not, you may have to clean out the pitots with a pin.

That is interesting. I assume this is for your 04 206. I have my pitots completely disconnected from the Gateway Box, and disconnected and plugged at the pitots, and I don't get any errors. I just use the perfect pass for my speed. I did this so there is no way water can ruin the Gateway and i'm stuck purchasing those $1000 crappy looking gauges.

Thanks Jeff - yeah, the reverse thing is a no go I think. Prolly have to use a pin. Do you pull the pitots off when you do this or can you just sort of tease out the glick while leaving them connected to the boat?

Correct its for my 206. And yes, maybe this is what I should really do. Exactly how did you disconnect and block them? Did you do it on the pitot side or by the box? What did you use to plug the lines?

I pulled the hoses out from both the back of the box, and from the pitots. I then put stainless screws in both sides. I think they are #10 x 1". You could use pretty much anything you feel comfortable with i would imagine.
