Audio alarm for low fuel 2007 Ski Nautique 196

I trust someone has been down this road before. My 2007 Ski Nautique low fuel alarm starts beeping when there is about a 1/2 tank of fuel left, which is incredibly annoying. Is there anyway to adjust the setting (so it goes off at a lower level), or minimize / muffle the alarm ? I don't think disconnecting it altogether is the right move, as the alarm MAY be essential IF another problem were to arise.

Surely other Nautique owners have experienced similar. Looking forward to hearing solution ideas !

Only way to fix it is to replace the Faria gateway box. Maybe Faria can reprogram it for you (they removed this in firmware, I found the rev notes at some point).

I had the dealer replace my gateway box in 2008 on my 07, to fix it. As you probably know, those boxes are now unavailable, so reprogramming your existing one is probably the only solution. I would call Faria and ask. They've been really good to deal with on other issues for me in the past.

Can the sending unit and float be adjusted at all ?

Maybe. I think they use a 240-33 ohm sender on those. You could replace the gas gauge, wire the sender directly to it, and put a dummy plug into the Faria gateway to make it think the tank is always full.
