2020 G23 Issue With Hour Meter - Help

I have a 2020 G23. My family and I absolutely love the boat. Took the boat in for the 20 hour service along with fixing a few other items. At the time I took the boat in it had approximately 35 hours on it. Three weeks later, picked the boat up from the dealer and put it in the water and the hour meter showed 287 hours! I immediately called the dealer and they were not sure how that could have happened, they said it may be some sort of "glitch". I took the boat back to get some remaining items fixed and they said they would let me know what happened to cause the excessive hours. That was a week ago and I have yet to hear anything back from the dealer. I did a search on this site to try and find someone that may have experienced the same glitch, but I couldn't find anything. Has anyone experienced anything like this? I am concerned about how that could happen and am not sure if it possible to reset the hour meter to where it should be.

May require a complete replacement of your Panoray screen would be my guess and simplest way to resolve the issue

How old are your kids? Maybe they have been taking the boat out behind your back or they started a rental business with it? Has their surfing skills improved a lot recently?

I’m not the OP. Maybe ask him instead

My guess is the dealership swapped out your engine ECM for one that had more hours for some reason. The ECM is where the hours are actually stored.

I am not sure why they would do that, the boat was running fine when I brought it in originally. I did notice that it was idling a little rough after I got the boat back. I even mentioned to the service manager that the boat felt like it had a "mild cam" in the engine during idle. I am going to call the service department today to get an update on what is going on....
