Gauge of the stainless steel locking wire to secure the packing nut and locking nut

What gauge stainless steel locking wire is used by Correct Craft to secure the packing nut and locking nut on a 1997 Ski Nautique? Thanks very much for any input.

I use whatever my mechanic has in the hanger at the time, 025 or 041 is what I've used in the past

Don't overthink this. It's just safety wire to make sure the bolt doesn't back out due to vibration or something. If I don't have stainless steel wire around, I just use solid-core copper. I have a reel of irrigation control wire and just pull one strand out, strip the insulation off and use that. Copper won't rust and it'll certainly keep that bolt from backing out.
