    Tower Paint

I just purchased a 2011 SAN over the weekend. The hull and boat are in great condition. The tower has a bunch of chips on one side and a few on the other. Is it possible to purchase paint for tower?

If it's black or white purchase appliance epoxy paint in a rattle can from Home Depot. Cover everything that is in reach of both over-spray or the mist. For some reason these epoxy's seem to travel and stick to everything. I have used it on a gash on my black powder coated tower and salt water damage on my white off-shore boat. The stuff worked great.

The color on my tower is a red/maroon. My only thought is to look for automotive paint, but I didn't find much at my local Advance Auto.

Maroon...scratch my suggestion...you are screwed. Good luck. By chance does Nautique Parts have touch up paint.

I needed black to touch up my tower when I purchased it a few years back. I called nautique and they provided it (at that time it was under warranty) from Roswell. My thinking is even if you have to pay for it thru Nautique at least it will match. They should have the original build specs......

              good luck!!

I was told the towers used to be painted by Ram-Lin but since they no longer are manufacturing the trailers, they may not be spraying the towers either. I would guess that the paint they use is Powder Coat and it will be difficult to match exactly since you aren't going to be doing this in your garage.

You may have to touch up with something that gives you the texture to match and then paint just that area over again with the closest matching color your can find........or repaint the whole tower on your own with something or some process that can be painted over powder coat.

Sorry, but I am not an expert on painting.
