Oil Pressure on SV-211TE

I am currently at the lake and have noticed the oil pressure on my 211 is reading a bit high. It is just under full pressure reading at 70 psi when driving under normal conditions. What is causing this and is this ok?

Was it cold? What oil are you running? If it has straight 40w (or the heavier weight multi-grades) like they use in the Ford motors the oil pressure will run a bit high. I think mine runs up pretty close to 70 at speed but drops down to about 40 at idle.

ok thanks.. All the maintence has been done by the California Correct Craft, so I am sure it is whatever the factory recommends.

The pressure does drop at Idle, but goes up to 70 at speed. Just wanted to make sure it was all good...

Tim's crew is top notch (IMO). Mine run's about the same. 65+ running, 40ish idle.

newb... just launched my new 211te, and noticed the same thing. brand new boat, 1 hour on it, oil pressure running at 70. forgot to look when idleing. is 70 high, and if so, what can be done.

Mine has 225 hours on it, has run 65-70psi since new 40-45 at idle. Not to worry.
