G23 shuts off when put into gear

Need help!

i have a 2014 G23. It died while driving and shut off. Found a loose terminal and got the engine turning on. But when I put it into forward or reverse it dies/ shuts off the boat. Does anyone have any experience with this?

I had a mechanic test batteries and they look to be fine. He changed out my oil and filter.

I’ll throw an idea at you. It could be the throttle base assembly which is your electronic shifter. Mine went bad and caused my boat to have intermittent starting issues. In researching my problem I did notice a fair number of people having issues like this. Service guy mentioned he had done a handful of these in the last couple months. I’m not a mechanic I’m just giving you something to look into. If it’s not that it’s some kind of fuel system issue?
