Ever wonder how hard your NCRS is working? (video)

I had a non-functional NCRS system on my 2015 G23, so to troubleshoot (and make sure it was sinply a dead actuator) I went ahead and plugged the new cylinder in and went for a drive. I was amazed at how much the cylinder moves around as you drive. Pretty impressive system!

If you are having NCRS issues, hopefully the info below will help you out!

I ordered the actuator from Marine Parts Source for $239.81 shipped. SKU: LM-15060-001

Note: The connector (labelled “Tab Actuator / TA” on my boat) was bundled up right behind the blower tubing. Starboard side of the engine.

After the drive I put the boat in my lift, removed the swim deck, pulled the cover llate (phillips screws), then removed the cylinder (1/2” wrench and 1/2” socket required). Once removed, I cut the wire from the bad cylinder and pulled it into the boat.

To install the new cylinder, get some help so you can push the new wire i. While someone in the boat pulls it through. Bolt the cylinder in (don’t overtighten) and install the connector. White wire goes on the left with the tab release facing you.

very cool video. My linc system has an icon that lights up everytime the NCRS is being engaged so I can tell how hard it is working but this really puts it in perspective
