Looking for help on water - 07 SV-211 chirping noise turned to cranking noise

Boat was making a chirping noise the last few times out. I thought it was a squeaky serpentine belt but I'm on the water now and it just started making a noise that is best described like the noise your trailer crank makes when you drank it

Any ideas what the problem might be? I'm currently on the water and don't know how serious the problem is. The oil pressure, temperature, and oil level are all good.

    Thanks in advance!

I'm working on uploading a video. The boat also makes the noise while in idle or in gear

Yikes, doesn't sound like it is internal to the motor. It sounds like something is hitting the belt, tensioner broke or similar.

Could be internal but I worked on an Ilmor MasterCraft a couple years back that had a similar noise which turned out to be a bolt that had backed out of the bracket that held the idler pulley. It started as a chirping when it first started touching the back of the pulley then more of a rotational rattle when the bolt fully backed out and was loose hitting the pulley. The noise increased in both sound and frequency with the speed of the engine, as would make sense.

If I was trouble shooting this I'd try to determine where on or in the engine this was coming from. Typically an internal engine problem like a knock doesn't start as a squeak or chirp. It's typically a tapping then a hollow knocking.

That's what I'm thinking too. There is just so little room to see what's going on when looking at the backside of the motor. Thanks for weighing in.

Yeah, I thought it could be something like that as well. It's almost as if someone went around and loosened every single screw on my boat. Crazy how many screws just backup from the rub rail to the FCT.

Thanks! I'll definitely check this out. Is it pretty common to fail around my hours? I'm right around 660.

Also, is the area that I zoomed in on during the video the raw water pump?

Might have figured it out thanks for Andy3535. I just removed the raw water pump pulley and the inner part completely fell apart. Would this be because of the raw water pump bearings failing or could there be an underlying cause?
