2001 Ski Nautique - won't start no power to guages.

Was out skiing with my bud, we both completed 2 sets then started to idle back to the ramp. Boat dies while in gear (idle). Engine won't turn over, no power to gauges or dash pod. Replaced the push button start/stop module, still dead. Battery voltage is 13.5v, both ground and + are secure.

Anyone got any ideas? Thanks in advance

I am assuming a 2001 model year as you referenced the push button start/stop module. Did you check the main breakers at the rear off the engine? I would get out your handy-dandy volt meter and start checking voltage at:

    -Main Breakers
    -Starter switch/solenoid
    -Positive feed wire to coil

it really sounds like a poor connection somewhere. I had a Chevy suburban once that had a poor connection SOMEWHERE that would cause the engine and all electrical systems to completely shut down at random intervals. The bad connection would isolate the battery from the starter, alternator and power block. It took a lot of checking to finally figure out where the poor connection was.

appreciate the reply. Correct....it is the "push button start/stop". I did check the main breakers at the rear of the engine. Starter solenoid was on my list to check, but suspect my issues are before the solenoid. I'll start checking 12vdc from the battery to each main junction. I did see a post on both the "kill switch lanyard" and a corroded crimped + battery terminal. I checked the kill switch continuity but will have to tug & flex both battery terminals.

You also probably have an in-line fuse coming off the battery that may have blown that powers the dash. It’s the smaller gauge wire coming off your + battery terminal.
