Painting windshield and bottom screw cover gaskets - advice needed

I'm getting ready to re-assemble my windshield on my 96 Sport restoration. I was unable to find replacement glazing (glass) gaskets. The originals are is decent condition, just very faded to grey. I want to paint them before placing back into the frame that has been freshly powder coated flat black.


What's the best paint on the rubber? I was thinking rustoleam plastic dip from Home Depot. Any better ideas?

Not sure on paint but they do make some stuff that can fill the cracks and make it look smoother.
