Has anyone else had issues with lack of range with the Garmin Fenix 6x pro watch and surf select 3.0? I have a 2018 G21 and have upgraded the surf select module to 3.0 (with the antenna) to work with the Garmin Fenix watch, installed in the transom with antenna towards the back of the boat and pointing up as recommended by Nautique. I have also updated the Linc firmware to the latest 2020 version. The Garmin successfully pairs to the boat and i'm able to control the surf select as expected, however it only has a workable range of around 6 ft before it loses connection. I have spoken with Nautique customer care and they think its probably a faulty surf select module. I wanted to check here in case i'm missing something before sending it back for replacement.
By the way if you are trying to update the Linc firmware at any point by saving the firmware onto a USB flash drive, you must ensure the USB is formatted to FAT32 otherwise you will get an error message and it wont upload.
