New Battery Terminals / Cables for 1994 Ski Nautique

Need some help here. I measured new battery cable length for my Aunt's 1994 Ski Nautique yesterday and I'm about to order. However, I did not measure the lug hole diameter for the attachment point to the block and starter relay. Anyone know the diameter for the lugs.

Jeff - I know you replaced your cables on one of your project Ski Nautiques. I am using the same site you used for your cables. Not sure if you recall or have any order info saved.

When you look at the site for the first time, it looks like a advertising site for shopping deals. But it is a site Jeff used for cables before and recommended. I'm going to give it a try. I have the right size compression crimper for this gauge wire, but if I can get it built end to end...it just makes more sense.

Here's what I order for all of my Ski Nautique restorations. Keep in mind though that mine are TSC boats, whereas the one you're asking about is a NWZ, so the lengths may be different.

2 quick questions on this old thread....
1) You have done several 93-97 Sports. Do you have the lengths for those on a GT40? I did a rough measurement tonight and got about 15' but I'm wondering if I rounded up too much on the hard to reach areas.

2) On your Ski's cables you posted above, you choose the post style instead of the threaded stud. Any reason why? My new battery has both and the current post clamp (that someone has replaced in the past causes the cover lid to not fully close. I am thinking of ordering with the ring connectors to minimize height.

I do not have the exact lengths unfortunately. I always make sure to order them with a little extra length so that I won't have cables that won't reach. I made that mistake once and had to use those cables on a different boat and order another set of cables for the original boat. The problem is that you don't want to pull the original cables until you have the new ones in hand. I use the old ones to pull the new ones through the boat, so I can't pre-measure them.

If your post clamps cause the battery box not to close, you have the wrong size battery. Nothing wrong with using the ring connectors. I just personally prefer the beefier connections of the post clamps.
