Has anyone successfully changed the prop on a 2021 Paragon / G23?

Has anyone pulled / changed the prop on a 2021 G/P boat? It seems the strut used for 2021 has a larger diameter than prior boats preventing the latest ACME 330S puller from fitting in the space between the rear of the prop hub and the strut. Below are images of the 330S showing how it can't fit around the strut on the 2021 Paragon. It also seems the hub length is longer on the new 18" props used for the Paragon (3563 or 3623) so even if the strut opening on the puller were larger the puller lacks sufficent length to get onto the end of the prop shaft.

I tried the same puller on a 2021 G23 at my dealer and found the same issue???

What puller are people using? Thanks.

No experience here, but I wonder if you could just pop it off with a pickle fork?

FYI. Prop would not come off with harmonic prop puller after about 20 strikes.

Heated each face of the rear end of the prop hub with a butane torch for 30 sec and it popped right off with a few strikes to the harmonic puller.

Not for nothing but it is a little ironic that people are having difficulties getting the 2021 G props off since the complaint has been for years how the prop comes off the Gs on its own.

Patiently waits to see a new puller design with drastic markup...

Seems like this could be solved in about 10 minutes by modifying the tool on a grinding wheel. I doubt the tools structural integrity would be compromised much at all

Agree. Grinding the tool to fit should not significantly affect the integrity of the prop puller. However, the longer hub also presents the problem that even with the puller bolt backed all the way out the tool will not fit over the end of the prop shaft. It could be placed over the prop shaft if the cup on the end of the puller bolt was removed. However, there is no point on the end of the puller bolt to fit into the dimple on the end of the prop shaft so the tool would easily slip off of the prop shaft. I am in discussion with ACME to see what fix they will provide.

Forgive me if i am wrong, but isn't all you need a 1-1/4" Prop Tool? https://www.wakemakers.com/acme-c-cl...op-puller.html wake makers sells them, even though they are out of stock now.

I have the latest tool. It does not fit the latest props. The dimension needed to get around the back of the prop and the end of the prop shaft is longer than the measurement shown in the picture.

I was successful at getting the prop off with my puller but it broke the puller in the process.i has the same issue where the strut is to large for the puller so you are not able to seat the puller completely. I was able to get it on but it was pulling at a slight angle so it took some gusto to get it off and when it popped off it broke the dimpled end of the puller.

A good reason not to hammer the puller on if it doesn't fit properly.

The Harmonic Puller is less than 1/2 the price and works like a charm.
