Not new to boating but complete newbie to a v-drive and a boat of this caliber. Picked up a 17 G23 coastal edition (fresh water used) with 96hrs over the weekend. Spent a good 2hr in the driveway learning all the panoray settings and got a chance to take it out yesterday. I will say I was a little nervous launching and loading this beast but for the most part it was a breeze. Only real concern I had was the ramp we used wasn't that steep so at the lowest point where both trailer fenders were nearly submerged the water was 3.6" deep. A beeping depth alert just adds to the nerves but all went smooth. I have a couple questions below as we have a lot to learn between now and next year:
~ Which anchor are you guys using for river/lake use?
~ Can the 17 Linc Panoray but updated for the gopro configuration? (even though the hero 8 doesn't work if I read correctly)
~ Where are the ballast pump fuses located? Got an over circuit 25A error on the port side ballast when I manually emptied.
~ Is the cup holder LED issue only on the 18s or does the 17s suffer this as well? I notice a couple of mine had dead spots in the rings.
Im sure I'll have more questions later on but for now I'll continue reading on through the pages and pages of info here.
