I am new to boating and I purchased an Air Nautique 226 (2005) at the end of August. The boat lift that I have is a "Viking Boat Lift" which has a large base that sits on the bottom of the lake and it has a single column which the cradle travels up and down on to raise and lower the boat. The specs. of the lift say that the boat must be less than 6000 (Not an issue) but it also states that the centre of balance/gravity of the boat must be within 8 inches of the column when it is on the cradle (This is the concern). I could not find the answer in the boat's manual. Is there anyone who can tell me the answer so that I don't ruin my boat and my lift.

I doubt you'll get a good answer for this. So much can alter the COG.
