Sorry if this had been discussed before, but I'm getting ready to do my first service on my 05 SANTE and just want to make sure I get everything done properly. Is there anything besides an oil change that I should get done? I'm not sure if the impeller needs changing now or maybe wait till the winterization process in November/December time frame? Thanks,
X

RE: First Service
First Service on an '05 SANTE ? How many hours on the engine ? Usually at 25 hours, all fluids are replaced. (motor oil, transmission fluid, vdrive fluid etc) If around 50 hours, usually the same thing - fluids are replaced. If you are above the 100 hours or close to reaching it, definitely have them replace the impeller and have them inspect hoses, belts and spark plugs and replace if necessary.
While at it, I'd have the dealer also check on the trailer bearings.
Your Best bet is to follow the Service Manual and what PCM recommends.Boat - 2005 Team 226 -ZR6 - Several Acme Prop's (1234, 644, 1160) Depending on occassion

RE: First Service
It has about 45 hours on it right now...so I'm assuming that just a fluid flush and regular service is needed. I don't think the bearings need checking, it was a brand new trailer and maybe has a total of 75 miles on the tires...thanks for the input

RE: First Service
Did you have the 25 hour service done? I think that's probably one of the most important services of all. It helps get any metal pieces left over from manufacturing out of the engine.I own and operate Silver Cove Marine, which is an inboard boat restoration, service, and sales facility located in Mooresville, North Carolina. RE: First Service
Over the years I've always found "when in doubt, change the oil" -- I had an F-150 with 148,000 miles on it -- changed the oil every 2,500 miles. My friends thought I was crazy, but I never had a lick of trouble. Its the best $ you can spend and it'll make everything last a lot longer by getting rid of all the condensation, contamination, and wear particles out. Don't be fooled into thinking the filters get everything cause they don't.
