    Quickdrain plugs

I assume I can use this https://www.nautiqueparts.com/produc...tem-drain-plug type of quick drain plug for the smaller of the two plugs on my exhaust manifolds on a PCM 6.0 ZR409?

Where can I find a quick drain plug to use for the other exhaust manifold plugs that are bigger?

You can't get the exact same kind of thing, but I was able to put together a few pieces (reducer bushing, elbow, valve, etc) to get it to work.

Some will say that without removing that plug, you're allowing scale to build up behind the plug over time and you won't get all the water out. However, I use mine to drain *most* of the water before running antifreeze through the engine, so I'm ok with it as long as a good volume of water comes out. It saves a lot of time and trouble. Eventually I will take mine out and flush out the scale, but that could be once every 5 years or something.

This spring I ordered a bunch of parts to put in quick drains in several places on my '03 SAN, if I can find the list of parts I'll post it here.

      Scot:

McMaster-Carr has drain valves or petcocks. See link below. For the manifold, install a brass bushing and then use a petcock. On my Nautique, the bushing was 3/4” on manifold and 3/8” on petcock. Get the removable T handle so that you can poke a wire into the opening to remove any scale or build-up. The petcocks work great for block drains and “J” hose drain (1/4”).
