Nothing like a battery question to get people posting. You have 2 choices.....
Cheap and quick - Go look at the group size on the battery and buy a marine Interstate that replaces that battery size. Don't like Interstate you say. Fine, go to Wally World and buy the cheapest marine battery they have in that group size. Pay attention to the "born on date" and buy the newest one they have.
Expensive - Some (like myself) hate dealing with acid and like the mounting options and performance features of AGM. I have Blue Tops and love them but wait just a couple minutes and someone will come along and crap all over them, and that's fine too. AGM (regardless of brand) is not for everyone. You can't use the battery charger grandpa gave you and you have to understand how they work if you want success with them. For most people looking for something quick and cheap these are NOT FOR YOU.
For 95% of the boaters out there going cheap with a battery from Wally World will get you back on the water for the least amount of money and smiling all day long. All you need is your battery group size (most are group 24 that I've come across) and in my case some reading glasses to see the manufacture date on the batteries and you're off to the races.
Assuming that this is for the single standard battery in the original location, any Group 65 battery will fit. I usually get the least expensive Group 65 that I can find.
I own and operate Silver Cove Marine, which is an inboard boat restoration, service, and sales facility located in Mooresville, North Carolina. We specializes in Nautiques and Correct Crafts, and also provide general service for Nautiques fifteen years old and older.
If we can be of service to you, please contact us anytime!
As bturner states above I replaced the batteries in my 2017 G23 with AGM batteries and could not be happier, but they are many AGM battery haters out there too on this forum as well.
