    Tower light

    Hi Everyone,

I am trying to do something ...(or un-do something rather)and i can't seem to get it apart, so naturally i figured i'd turn to the experts here...

I am trying to take apart this tower light , i see and press inside the small hole, which unlocks it, then i can turn about half a turn, but then nothing..it does not come up, or twist anymore???..i don't want to apply too much force and risk breaking it...

Has anybody here ever taken one of these apart??

    Thanks,

That’s the way to remove it. It is a pain to do. Fortunately the base flexes a little so you can get a little rough with it but the base isn’t sold separately as far as I can tell so you’re in for a whole new unit if it does break.

I've replaced 2 of these so far. One because it was broken and the other because I broke on trying to get it apart.....

Actually I don't remember who posted it but you can purchase just the bottom plastic bracket. I found the source on this site. I now always keep a spare light bracket. The light and bracket are made by Attwood. To be honest, Nautique really needs to have a better quality all around light and design. Attwood is a cheap marine brand of products, Many of their products are sold at Wal-Mart
