    slight vibration

I feel a vibration in the steering wheel and hear a stange noise when I give the boat gas out of idle. It goes away after a second or two. Do you think something is out of alignment?

Check the tightness of the prop castle nut.

Prop might be a bit out of shape also. I had this and it went away with a new prop. Vibration during the hole shot only.

Still could be a loose prop the first time. Did you try tightening it before the swap?

I did try tightening with no luck. But now I have a spare prop. It is worth checking the tightness.

Thanks. I will check it this weekend. Do I need a prop puller for this job?

Not necessarily. Chances are you will but sometimes they will slide right off by hand if you're lucky. If you get a puller, you won't need it, but if you don't it'll be tight. Murphy's law?

I use a small block of wood (2x4 or 4x4 or something), and a rubber mallet. But Hollywood's right... Murphy's law. hehe. Good luck.

I do the same as Larry, but as mine need to be "reworked" when i need to remove them, I don't really care if I ding the prop a bit more. just be careful you don't hit it wrong and bend the shaft or hit the boat bottom instead.
