Zero off antenna upgrade

So I’ve been living with gps drop outs for nearly 10 years on my 08 210 and I’d really like to sort it out. I’ve tried local dealers here in Australia but no one knows how or wants to help. So my question is, has anyone done it, or know of a way to upgrade the zero off firmware to accept the newer R2 antenna?
Is there a cable I can borrow/buy and software for a laptop I could use?
I emailed zero off a few years ago and got no response.

SilentSeven, I agree it’s a lot, and I’ve just lived with it dropping out every now and then up until now, but my kids are now at an age where they’re learning to ski/board and when it regains gps signal after dropping 5mph it can rip the handle right out of their hands, or pull them over the front, so what do ya do? ♂️

I have the '09 model and it surges going over large wakes so I just use it in rpm mode and it works great. I'm too cheap to pay for the upgrade.

Do you have a two antenna system? My 2010 SNOB started getting GPS dropouts at the end of the season. The diagnostic screen showed one failed antenna (two antenna system) which was a simple replacement.

Wakeboard systems only have one antenna. Slalom systems have two.

Yeah, I figured that might be the case. I just love an easy fix but I guess this won’t be that simple.

As someone who did the upgrade to my 08 210 and runs around 2700in weight for wakeboarding , it’s not worth the cost and effort it’s a minimal performance gain. I’d install pp is possible( not sure if that’s an option ) amd
Slap an Acme 2571 on there and see if that helps.

PP can't be installed on a 2008. It can't communicate with the ECU on that boat. I believe ZO is the only option.

Swatguy, I am not really having porpoising issues. It happens occasionally and the hydro gate sorts it out and then you slowly pull the gate back.
The main reason I want the upgrade is due to drop outs. There is a river we frequent and the gps can simply drop out for 5 seconds or longer, it’s enough to come completely off a plane and sometimes sink the rider.

I was curious about the twin antenna because the wiring harness does have provision for a second. However I don’t know if the main unit and it’s firmware would recognise the second.
Anyone heard of being able to use a second antenna?

A second antenna won't work on a wakeboard boat. The software won't recognize it, and it won't help anything.

If you had the 3-event version of ZO, then you'd use two antennas.
