2015 G21 409 engine randomly shutting off at idle

I have a 2015 Nautique G21 with ZR 409 motor and about 900 hours on it. About a month ago I start the boat up, idle out into the lake and after about 2 minutes the engine randomly cuts off. I press the start button, engine starts right up and then shuts off after 3-5 seconds. The same thing happened about three times before the boat ran fine for the next couple hours. Fast forward a month and I've been out about 4 times with no issues. Yesterday the same problem occurs with the engine randomly shutting off. I decided to put the boat up. I held the throttle steady around 1100 RPM's, and the engine would drop down to around 600 and surge back up to 1100.
Thinking it could be a computer issue??
Any other troubleshooting ideas before ordering a new computer??

I would guess a sensor before an ecu issue. Crank position sensor could cause it to die randomly. But if your seeing some type of surging it would think could be something on the air side, could be a vacuum leak causing the surging.

Possibly a fuel pump starting to go.
