Battery 1 still not working after replacement

I have a 2010 Nautique 226, battery 1 was replaced today. Nautique dealer said battery was dead. Upon changing it I still only get a brief click. Connections on terminal look good. Ground is tight on the boat. Please help? I’m selling and wanting to give this to the new owner properly.

I would check the battery selector switch, contacts could be bad. Have you tried messing with it?

you shouldn't need to pull anything out. If you have 2 batteries, you should have a battery switch. I don't know where it is on your boat, but I would check under the rear seats, or under the observers seat. Should be red, and have a dial you can turn.

I’m hearing a click under the dash area. It’s definitely a wiring issue.

Check the ground to motor and to the ground block under the dash.

Where is the ground block under the dash? The ground to the motor is tight.
