I'd posted on the forum months ago that there is/was a recall on some of the early Paragons for the top section of the tower. Roswell is replacing them due to suspect welds. At any rate, I took mine in to get this done, but also to figure out a constant coolant loss in my overflow tank. (I kept adding with the LowTox Coolant used by Nautique/PCM.) The dealer and I could not figure out what the issue was. To begin, there was never any coolant in my bilge. (I keep my bilge surgically clean, and would immediately know if there had been coolant in it.) The overflow tanks on these closed cooled engines is just that, an "overflow tank", not a degas tank. What we finally figured out was that the cooler had a crack in it. Lost coolant would be blown out the exhaust - so I could never see the very bright green that is the color of this Low Tox coolant. My boat never once ran warm (above 169 degrees) as there was always coolant. I am simply posting here as information for anybody with a closed cooling system who has the same mystery... Mine has been solved, thankfully.
