Looking for info on ballast pump sensor. Location, repair? Spring start up, starboard ballast tank showing full with no water in it. Both port and starboard showing 4 volts. Tried unplugging pumps, disconnecting batteries, no change. Wondering if I try to discharge my pump to where tank shows 0% will it burn up my pump?

It won't burn up the pump, but it may damage the impeller.
The weight sensors on the ballast bags are a known issue. I'd just have it replaced under warranty.I own and operate Silver Cove Marine, which is an inboard boat restoration, service, and sales facility located in Mooresville, North Carolina. Thanks Jeff, I’ll see if I can find the impeller replacement. I opted not to pay the $3000 dollars to continue my warranty with nautique when I bought my boat. Very frustrated with that whole transfer of ownership. So if I can fix it I will!! You guys are great people with great info.

As Jeff stated these ballast sensors are a known problem for Nautiques. I had to replace the ones on my G23, and they were replaced under warranty. I will warn that they are extremely difficult to change and that is what my dealer told me. I would not recommend trying to replace them on your own.

Thanks for the info, my local dealer is a POS, money hungry, inexperienced staff etc. if it can be done by the dealer it can be done by me, I love a good challenge. Just because you save for a long time to get a beautiful boat like ours doesn’t mean you should get raped by the dealers. I’m sure there are a few more people that follow this forum that feel this way. Thanks again for the help!

Bsamg25 , I do recall my dealer telling me he had to make a special tool to remove the ballast sensors . Basically he had to saw off part of the socket wrench handle to make the turns with the handle. I wish you luck in the difficult task ahead of you

Try this, the sensor has been changed to a newer version as the original were not very reliable.

Ordered two new sensors today, love how they went from $100 to $300, they offer software update as well. As soon as I get them and have the chance to do the swap I’ll try to film and document them to the best of my ability for the rest of the group having the same issue. Cheers!

I have Replaced a couple Ballast sensors when I worked for a Dealer, and they are not fun! The Port and STBD Sensors are in the Very back corners of the Engine Compartment, and are a Pain to get to, we had to take the Back Side Panels off to be able to reach them. Once you can reach them though, all you have to do is get a wrench, and take it out, Unplug it, and Plug the new one in and install!
The Ballast sensor for the Belly Tank is a Little better but still hard to reach, It is in the either in the Love Seat Storage area or right below the Drivers seat under the Aluminum Plate, I can't Remember.
Wasn't to hard to do but it was hard to figure out how to be able to access and reach them!

The guy I bought the boat from already had it winterized, we fired it up for two days at lake Powell to test it out, I came home and winterized it again. Dealer said they would have to summerize it to do all the systems test. So that those fees, plus there warranty transfer fees, and shop fees, etc, etc, etc. for being a faith based company they sure know how to squeeze you for money. It really sucks, been dreaming of this massive beautiful machine for years, $$$$$$$$$
