    2015 G21 Prices

    Hello,

Ill start off by saying that I don't know where else to post this so sorry if this is not the right spot.

I am looking at a 2015 G21 with low hours. I also know right now in terms of price, its about the worst time to buy a boat (due to the pandemic and it being spring and all). But with new boat prices skyrocketing the past few years (A new 2021 G21 with a base price of $168K), is paying in the $90's for a 2015 just crazy or will they continue to maintain their value? Will the prices go down much in the fall (I know impossible to predict but would just love perspectives)?

Also I am not without a boat, I just don't have a wake/surf boat and would really like to get into surfing, and start taking my wakeboarding to the next level.

Thanks in advance for your comments!

You are buying at an all time high. Based on what I paid for 2014 g21, and what i sold it for, and where the market is now...

I would say you are paying 25% more now as compared to a normal market. If the market normalizes your boat will be worth about 25% less, and then another $5k/year less for depreciation on top of that.

But when it will return to normal, no one can say for sure. My prediction one to two years.

In a nut shell as scottb7 would say, "Be prepared to bend over on any boat purchase in the current environment".

I think this is all you need to know about boat prices. Granted this is asking price but anyone wants to give me something close to this for my 2003, air 216 I might have to sell. https://www.onlyinboards.com/216-Tea...wa-117376.aspx

OMG, wow! But as you can see in the ad, the boat is in “mint condition”. Practically still in the box with the tags still on it. Lol. I’m going to go out on a limb and say that’not going to sell for $50k, but if it does then sign me up to sell my 2011 SANTE for $95k. :-)
