    Excalibur 330 tune up

Hey all, just a quick question on consensus. I have an 04 SV211 and wondering if I should do a full electrical tune up this year - plugs, wires, cap and rotor. Had the boat since 2016 and have not done it in my ownership. Probably put a couple hundred hours on too. Is it time for this of your recommended interval?

I just did my cap and rotor for the first time. There was so much crud inside the cap. Who knew. Boat ran fine. I didn't replace wires or plugs.

I know the Cap and Rotor are mechanical wear items. I just did it as part of some other Spring maintenance. No indicators other than it was original to the boat from 2003.

Thanks for the help. I think I’ll end up maybe just doing cap/rotor for good measure then.

I used to have an 89 Mastercraft with the old carb’d 351 and seemed like that was a more recommended maintenance item then. Maybe more modern fuel injected and updated ignition doesn’t matter so much. I’ll keep same wires and plugs for now then.
