I went out this afternoon for quick set, and once I warmed up the boat, and began cruising to a riding spot, the boat sputtered out and died a couple of times. It actually was running about 2800-3200 rpm, and just sputtered out and died. It did it a couple of times.
I noticed that there was a strong smell of raw gas, the boat would run in neutral at 2k rpm, but it was still trying to die. Then I just kept running at slower speed, and it cleared out.
We did have a solid 1.5 days of rain here, and the boat did get wet inside despite the cover, and probably got some moisture in the engine compartment.
The boat initially started instantly, and was idling pefectly out of the cove. Is it possible some water got into the distributor cap/and or spark plug wires?
Btw, DD Pro Air python.
thanks,
Jack
