1995 SNOB bilge pump question

I had my 1995 SNOB in the water all weekend (I normally trailer every day) and realized my bilge was filling up more than normal and not pumping out. I pushed the manual pump button and heard the pump running but no water discharged. I tried the automatic button and the same happened. When the pump was engaged and making noise I noticed that it felt like air was discharging out of the the normal discharge hole but still no water. Is there anything I should be checking or does this sound like a faulty pump that needs replacement? If replacement is in order, are there any recommendations for a good pump? There is a $16 500-gph pump on amazon that has great reviews, it just seems a little cheap so I wanted to confirm.

Is it easy to access? There might be some debris blocking it. I'd start by finding it, pulling it out, and inspecting it for debris. Also, verify that the impeller isn't shot.

Most bilge pumps don't have impellers. Most are aerator style.

Debris is my bet too, but also check the hoses. It may have come loose from the pump or the vent on the side of the boat.

A Ski Nautique pump should be right in front of the engine, so it should be easy to diagnose.

Thank you both, it is right in front of the engine with no debris and the hose still connected to the pump. I"ll have to look again to see if it's connected to the discharge vent but I don't know why air would have been coming out of that if it was disconnected....I'll take another look.

There's still a hard plastic, spinning impeller, isn't there? Maybe impeller is the wrong word.

At that point, I'd probably just replace it with like-for-like, unless you want increased pumping capacity.

I've got a new one from Nautique Parts sitting on my workbench waiting for me to install it.
