I have a 99 super sport gt40. Took it out the other day. We were in a hurry to get back to the boat ramp so I ran it WOT for about 10-15 mins total. (know not to do that anymore) During oil pressure was 40 and water temp was 160. Once I started to slow down check engine light came on, oil dropped to around 15 and water temp went up to 200 fast. Cut off motor and trailered it. Now, out of water it wont crank and it takes a min for oil to build up. It does build to 40. Once I let off ignition oil pressure goes down to 0 fairly fast. No water in oil. Check engine light did go off. Where should I start? Checking compression? Assuming it is either sending unit or pump? Any advice is very appreciated. Thanks.
