Hello, I am in the process of making a new purchase water ready. The rudder bushing seems to have excessive play. Does anyone know what size the rudder port bushing is for a 94 SNOB? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I just replaced the rudder packing on my 94SN. That solved the excessive play in the rudder. Could also try tightening the packing nut before replacing. I have about 600 hours and I’m sure this was the 1st time the packing was changed. Definitely helped with no water in the bilge and smooth steering. There are several YouTube videos showing the process.

Thank you for the response Super Dave. I will start by just changing the packing as I also have to redo the packing for the prop shaft as well. We shall see how it does......Comment
