1997 Nautique Super Sport 21FT

Hi All,

I am trying to restore my dashboard on my 1997 Nautique Super Sport 21FT. Most of it is in good condition, just trying to replace the Pod Instrument and install a new radio. Does anyone have any recommendations on where I can find these pieces to install?

Not sure what you mean by the Pod Instrument. Are you referring to the gauges?

I'm just referring to the actual dashboard that goes around the gauges. Mine has been beat pretty bad and none of the bolts are holding it in place any more. So the dashboard panal that goes around the everything. I think it is something like https://www.nautiqueparts.com/product/37802/ for reference.

Ah, gotcha.

The early ones like yours haven't been available for a long time. If the structure is good, you could have it rewrapped in vinyl, but often the structure starts to break down. If that's the case, it is best to search for a good used one. It won't be easy to find one though!

As someone who kept a 1995 Super Sport dash together your best bet is to peel back the vinyl where it’s broken, weld the plastic together using a freehand plastic welder and glue the vinyl back on top. You’re probably not going to find a dash pod that old and while the plastic is probably super brittle now that will keep you going. But it’ll be a constant cycle of re-welding as the old plastic finds new places to break.
