Wanted to check with you all on this observation
So I was installing the Jacob Ballast King Pump and I noticed in the install instructions that the pump head should NOT be installed above the motor with the hoses attaching to the top of the pump head. When you review the documentation is says the motor should be installed above the pump head, (so basically the pump head is below the motor). The reason it should be installed this way is in-case the head leaks the water doesn't ruin the motor. After calling the dealer he said all Nautiques have the pumps installed with the pump head above the motor and its that way for both the port and starboard - so basically Correct Craft Manufacturing process is installing the Jacob Ballast Pumps incorrectly.
Why is this an issue - see the photo - I run my G23 2017 Coastal in salt water and you can tell from the pump damage what happens when you don't follow Jacob's install instructions.
Wanted to get other peoples input on this.
