Bought the ZO conversion kit from Tim White in AL and after installing in my boat I have several dead gauges. Only gauges that work now are the digital readout in the speedo, the gas gauge and the volt gauge. I've done some research and it seems the gauges that depend on CAN from P3 on the gateway box are the ones not working. After digging around discovered that there was no connector on the new harness that went back to P3 on the gateway. Upgraded the gateway box as well as part of the conversion so I could keep the original gauges. Tim told me to pick ujp CAN from the "twin engine connector" that isn't used on the new harness. Found CAN+ and CAN- (on my boat 2.6V for CAN+ and 2.3V for CAN-. wired it in to plug that went to new gateway box. Checked at P# to make sure I had same voltage and it was there...no change.
Next Tim told me to pick up CAN from the 20 pin connector on the new harness that now goes to ZO. The voltage on these 2 were lower...about 2V and 1.6 respectively. Confirmed I had the voltage at P3...you guessed it - no change. Thought I'd put this out there to anyone that has done the conversion to see if any ideas that I haven't already tried? ZO works perfectly BTW!
I did take the tach over to a buddy that has an 07 V drive and the tach worked flawlessly. It doesn't work at all on my boat with exception of voltage readout on the digital inset gauge.
