Spare Prop vibration- reconditioning or trash it?

I tried the spare prop last weekend. It had a bit of a vibration to it. Being new to inboards not sure how to service these props. Can someone re-balance or re-condition it?

Or is it often better to just replace it?

Anyway no one in Peoria does props anymore so I need a recommendation where to ship this!

Prop repair is a common item and a vibration should be a simple fix for a prop shop. Significantly cheaper than a new prop. I'd fix it.

You can also work through your local dealer. I have fixed my two more times than I would like to mention, always significantly cheaper than a new one. My spare was actually a fixed one my dealer had for sale, it gave me a spare but also gave me a different pitch for more hole shot.

I had two local so called prop shops and Acme themselves repair a 1579 that hit the trailer [ Don't Ask] at 0 mph . It came back with a slight vibration under load just starting to pull. The last shop took it and said they have high tech computer mapping and balancing. There was no damage to be seen since it was repaired by Acme so no welding. They charged me 250.00 for the high tech service and it was the same . I ended up just buying a new one from Delta. It was finally fixed.

I've had poor luck with repaired CNC props. I look at them almost like disposable items. I can buy a new ACME for under $375. The last prop I had repaired was $175 and it did not perform all that well.

(maybe I should have tried Nettle Props)
