Magic Siphon

Looking to buy a new magic siphon for fuel filling from cans. Currently don't have access to the boat.
Anyone know max diameter that will fit through the little fuel door?

Had 1/2" before....wondering if 3/4" hose would fit.

2016 G23 if it matters.

It will be tight. I use a Flo Fast system and I think the hose is 3/4', but I have an aluminum extender on it that fits inside the hose (so obviously a little smaller). It fits perfectly in the fuel fill opening. Its at the lake now, otherwise I could measure it...but this is what I use if you can find the dimensions on the aluminum extender

Thank you. I'll probably just stick with the 1/2" then as I remember that being finicky to get through the flap.

Yeah, it is pricey, and I have 4 other containers so I can have 62 gallons on hand...so my total bill was about $875 I think...but I can fill up at $3 off lake vs $5.50 plus on lake...I figure 6 full fill ups (60 gallon tank) and it will pay for itself...it is incredibly fast too..I can empty 10.5 gallons in just over a minute..its about as fast as a pump at the gas station

I have a similar amount of fuel cans but just go with the shaker siphon. You definitely get the boat filled faster than me!

I like the idea of the Drop and Fill but can't even get myself to spend the $100 on that haha. Plus the 3/4" issue so it probably defeats the purpose of the faster flow.

3/4" fits fine in our SN196. Note that as the tube weather's due to gasoline, sun exposure or colder mornings, the tube gradually becomes stiffer. It makes inserting it more difficult and it tends to scrape bits of plastic tube off. I'm sure I'll be picking some out of the gas tank one day.

Yeah I have experienced the stiffening tube as well. LOL.

The newer style boats have a safety check valve that is definitely smaller in diameter than my 2004 SANTE or my 93 ski. Those were just the older style unscrew the cap and dump the fuel.
