2000 SAN wet bilge - pitot tube?

Boat's back in the water for the summer! This spring I did some house-cleaning and installed a reversible pump ballast system (only one pump, still using stock through-hull). While removing old deteriorating ballast hose and abandoned pumps I appear to have pulled what I think is a pitot tube free from where it originally connected. Not being too sure what it was, I left it be with a mental-note to figure out what that little black hose is. A couple photos attached.

A few days out on the water this last weekend and I noticed we were getting quite a bit of water in the bilge (a few inches in the locker even). Is this the likely culprit? I feared I may've put too much strain on the existing through-hull when replacing the ball-valve and broken the seal. Reading more about the pitot tubes, I'm thinking (hoping) maybe not. Is it as simple as plugging that thing? Are both of the pitot lines tied together? If I plug the loose one, should I clip and plug the other so it's not allowing water in where they tied together? I read on one of the posts while trying to learn more about these things that a golf-tee is a good candidate - seems about the right size, any reason not to use one of those for the summer? I'll likely remove the pitots/pickups next off-season. PO had replaced the speedo with a GPS unit so these are abandoned.

Also, kinda related - while under the boat this spring I noticed the wheel too, is that related to perfect-pass or another abandoned speedo install?

That looks more like the remote grease fitting for the rudder. Being that it goes into the back fiberglass is odd though. I will check all you ballast lines to make sure you do not have a leak there.

I'm reasonably confident it's the pitot given where it is feeding through the fiberglass, and the fact that when I hold it low I get some drips of water. I shut off the ball valve at the ballast through-hull over the weekend to try and start removing variables, so pretty sure it's not a leak in that system. Interestingly, the starboard pickup has vanished, so this pitot tube is at ambient pressure on both ends, even when underway (barring whatever effects from being dangled below the platform). The port pitot/pickup is still intact though, which is what had me wondering if the two were tied together before I manhandled the starboard tube and I was getting a pressurized stream from the port side.

The paddle wheel in front of the water intake is for Perfect Pass.

Just spitballing here, but if you can find a way to force water through your pitot pickups (might get some oddball looks, but take a mouthful of water and blow through them), that should confirm that the tube is really a pitot. Just a thought. It makes sense in my head.

Yea. Most likely it was connected to the 2nd speedo that was removed for the Perfect Pass. You can fold it over and zip tie it or shove a golf tee into it to stop it leaking.
