    Dead Battery....Keylesss Ignition Issues...04 SV-211

Can anyone guide me in my quest to start my boat. I had a prop replaced 2 weeks ago the auxillary power (single light) was left on by the dealer after the prop test. Now my battery is dead.

I now have both a portable jump and a second battery (since I have room for 2). I have hooked everything up correctly...no power (or more correctly the single light does not come on after I put in my code which is not the original.)

I think my issue is that I don't know the original code to the keyless ignition and the code I programmed in is now lost. Would this cause the problem? How should I get the original code?

    Any help would be appreciated.

If you flip the kill switch to "Bilge only" the light next to it should light up regardless of the keycode. If it doesn't, you probably have a loose connection somewhere since you have already tried the battery.

I had something similiar happen - trailered up for a week on Moose Pond in Maine, go to launch for the week and the boat is completely dead. I figured out the next morning that one of the connections to the On/Off/Bilge only switch popped off - because the dealer didn;t secure the kick panel (both screws on the left side weren't fastened - arrghh!) in the spring after installing a heater - and hence after trailering 150 miles with the panel vibrating back and forth it pulled one of the connections loose.

    Hope this helps

Also, if the kill switch is in the "on" position and you touch the keypad it should activate the background lighting on the pad, if it doesn't - you've got a bad connection somewhere.

You can get the master code from your dealer or the factory. Also check your manual, sometimes it's written in there.

the toggle switch can get a bit corroded and play a bit of havoc with connections. This happened on my 03 and 04.
