2007 SV-211 TE Closed Cooling temperature gauge not working

Noticed the last time out that my temperature gauge wasn't working. Not only was the gauge itself not working, but the light the temperature gauge wasn't coming on, while all other gauges and lights were working.

This leads me to believe that it's an electrical issue, but I am not sure where to start to troubleshoot. Any ideas?

As a side note, I did deal with some overheating related issues my first few times out this year. Long story short, the dealer forgot to put the o-ring back on my water strainer causing the boat to overheat. When I realized this was the issue, they offered to replace any affected components. They ended up only replacing the impeller and saying that the overheating was actually more likely due to low coolant levels, which they topped off. No engine overheating alarms have happened since then.

    Thanks in advance!

You should be able to toggle through the digital display and read the engine temp there, if it displays there you know the issue is the gauge itself and not a gateway issue.
