    Stern Thrusters G25

Have a 2020 G25 w/ stern thrusters that only work for a brief amount of time (3-5 seconds) before cutting out and stop working until all power is shut down and batteries turn completely off. Checked for any foreign debris or damage to the propeller and all looks good. No blown fuses either. Thought the batteries may be low as they must draw some good amperage, but still had the same result on a full charge. Any thoughts?

I have note had that happen on mine, but this past weekend while switching surfers and letting kids swim we turned off the engine but not the whole boat. Then when I started driving for the next surfer it was *really* difficult to steer, like a car without power steering kind of difficult. So we stopped and rebooted the whole boat, then the problem was gone.

Yes try to reboot the boat... but I finally got mine into the dealer and they replaced the motor. Same issue. They then replaced the Controller - now it works great, or did for the last trip at least (fingers crossed).

There is also a thermal overload. Our stern thruster works perfectly until the boast is full of ballast and then it gets intermittent. I’ve had it in the shop and they say it is working as intended. Which is actually maddening.

Scary stuff on a 2020 boat isn't it covered under warranty?
