Replacing Underwater LEDs - Black Filler Recommendations?

    Hey Guys,

I'm planning on swapping out the underwater LEDs on the transom of my 2013 G23 with some Shadow Casters but will need to relocate them a couple inches. The new ones should cover up the existing mounting and wiring holes (i'll need to drill new ones), but I'd like to fill them well with an epoxy of some sort or something else. I don't want to fill, gel coat, sand, buff, etc since the new lights will completely cover the existing holes that I want to fill.

Was curious if you all had a recommendation for a black filler to fill up the small screw holes and the wiring hole for the old LEDs on the black gelcoat.

You will want 3M 5200.. Not sure if they make it black though. You will like the Shadow Casters! I have used SCM-10CC for years... I had an aluminum bar made the mounts to the platform brackets and have three (1 aimed straight back, and the other two angled to either side). It works awesome!

Thanks! I was going to use the 3m 5200 for sealing up the new ones but figured I’d do something more permanent for the holes I need to fill from the original ones (even though they’ll be covered). I’m sure the 5200 will work great but yea it’s white.

JB Weld? It's at least a grey color.

3m 5200 is permanent I believe. I used 4200 when my transom had holes in it from a NSS cover being ripped off and ripping the screws out as well. The 4200 held for 2 months of the summer and was removable when the dealer fixed the holes. JB does have a "Water Weld"

I ended up using 5200. Not because it's permanent but because it was black lol. Did a quick writeup on the install if anyone's interested: https://www.caraudionow.com/nautique...r-led-upgrade/. Thanks for the help.
