Removal of seat back from driver seat of 2004 Ski Nautique

Can anyone help? I can't get the seatback to come off the driver sear on my 2004 Skit Nautique. I don't see screws anywhere, but the seat back does not slide up and off like I expected it should. Can anyone tell me how to remove it?

I encountered a similar dilemma when I was re-upholstering my 2002 SN. Because I was replacing the skin, I took a razor knife to the seat back and found that, in addition to the expected brackets at the top, there were 2 screws (inside the skin) at the bottom that affixed the back to the seat shell. For the life of me, I don't know how they were installed or how they could be removed without destroying the skin. I left them out when I re-installed.

Appreciate the response. I am able to pull the bottom of the seat back away from the seat shell a few inches making me think there are no screws at the bottom. Surely the back rest skin is completely installed before the seat back is attached to the seat shell making this arrangement baffling.

Anyone else removed a seatback on an 196?
